The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a nonprofit organization providing personal assistance with food, clothing, financial assistance and companionship to people facing economic, emotional or spiritual crises.
As a private, nonprofit charity, the Society relies on private individuals and local businesses and organizations for support and donations of food, gently used clothing and monetary support.
Everything St. Vincent de Paul does is motivated by a sense of compassion for those struggling with poverty, loneliness, illness, family problems and many other difficulties. The Vincentian spirit inspires us to action, sustains our commitment and challenges us to become more like Christ. Every encounter with our fellow man is an opportunity to share our Vincentian spirit.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul – Traverse City is committed to ensuring that all individuals have equal access to our assistance, programs, facilities, and employment opportunities. We do not discriminate against any person with regard to race, religion, color, creed, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, age, national origin, political affiliation, immigration status, mental or physical disability, income level, or medical condition.
