Traverse City’s only Catholic book and gift store is NOW OPEN.  Located at 1207 Woodmere Ave near downtown. Open Tuesday thru Saturday 10 am to 5pm.

Local source for advent wreaths, advent candles, advent calendars, crucifixes, rosaries, religious jewelry, bibles, religious books, prayer books, Christmas gifts, nativity scenes, wedding candles, christening gifts, announcements, baptism gifts and much, much more.

Out With The Old

This past week, Board member Chris Gallagher donned his “Bob the Builder” wear and helped finish the task of removing all contents from the old location.  Our new store opened on July 5th at 1207 Woodmere Ave, Traverse City, MI — 1 mile South of the Traverse City dsitrict library.

Traverse City St. Francis High School freshman Victor did his share of hard work too.

Re-Launch Announcement

Please be advised that effective 4/17/2012, and for the next 45 to 90 days, St. Vincent de Paul will be TEMPORARILY closing thrift store operations in order to remodel and re-launch the organization.

PROGRAM RECIPIENTS:

We will still be offering services to those in need.  Please call 231-218-7525 with any immediate emergency needs.  Until construction/remodeling efforts keep us from doing so, food pantry operations will remain open by appointment only.

CASH DONATIONS:

During this phase, we will continue to accept cash donations.  Please consider us and pray for the organization during this time of transition.  Safe, secure online donations can be made at the St Vincent de Paul Donation page , the donate link in the upper right hand corner of most pages or you may send donations by check to:

St Vincent de Paul to Reorganize Operations

TRAVERSE CITY, MI, April 17, 2012 — The Board of Directors of the Society of St Vincent de Paul St. Francis Conference in Traverse City, Michigan have voted to temporarily cease daily thrift store and food pantry operations in order to implement organizational changes to ensure the long-term viability of the organization.  Emergency services will still be available to help needy persons during this time of transition.

Board President Margaret Sophiea stated that “Recent events have made it necessary for us to take a few steps backward in order to determine the best ways to move forward.  We look forward to the opportunity to re-launch St. Vincent de Paul in the next 45 to 90 days and further enrich the community in the tradition of its founder, Blessed Frédéric Ozanam, and patron, St. Vincent de Paul.”
