The Board of Directors of the Society of St Vincent de Paul always seeking to connect with individuals interested in serving their faith as board members helping guide the strategic plans of the organization.
Terms of service are 3 years with staggered expiration dates with 5 elected officer positions and general board positions.
Applicants must be active members of the Catholic community and should be willing to learn, work as a team member and be eager to guide the vision for St. Vincent de Paul’s future. Useful experience, education or skills might include prior work on a board, financial or business background, supervisory, or organizational skills, negotiation, facilitation and conflict resolution skills. Board meetings are held monthly and members are expected to attend each meeting, participate, spend time outside of meetings on tasks and prepare for each meeting.

Jim Warren grew up in Alma, Michigan and received a bachelor degree in Aviation Engineering Technology from Western Michigan University. He then joined the United States Air Force (USAF) where he served for 12 years of active duty as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer and Systems Engineer. He finished his career as a civilian Systems Engineer working for the USAF, primarily as the Chief Engineer for several commercial derivative aircraft acquisition programs. He also led the Commercial Aircraft Acquisition Critical Process Team and led development of the airworthiness certification process for all USAF aircraft. Jim retired from Civil Service in 2005 but went back to work as a contractor providing systems engineering support for the USAF. He is currently a part time independent consultant for the USAF.
Although Jim was raised as a Catholic, his spiritual life took on a whole new meaning after attending a Cursillo in 1973. He then became involved in the Charismatic Renewal while stationed in the Philippines, where he eventually became the leader of the prayer group. After moving to Dayton, Ohio he became involved in Church ministry as a Lector, Minister of Holy Communion, Christ Renews His Parish team member, Charismatic Prayer Group member, and Men’s Fellowship Group leader. He was also one of the leaders of the Coming Out of the Desert program for spiritual renewal of the Dayton area in 2010, which led to development of the Catholics in Renewal and Evangelization, a non-profit organization in which he served as the Treasurer until moving into his new house on Elk Lake, near Elk Rapids in August 2012. Jim is currently serving in Church ministry as a Lector and Minister of Holy Communion at Christ the King Church in Acme and participates in Charismatic Renewal events for the Diocese and in the Traverse City Ultreya. Jim joined the board in 2013.
Spiritual Advisor – Kevin Endres
Kevin Endres was born and raised in Traverse City, Michigan. He attended St. FrancisHigh School as a 4th generation student, where he was the recipient of the Bishop’s Christian Service award and a Kairos Retreat Leader during his senior year. Kevin graduated from St. Francis High School in 1994 and attended Michigan State University.Upon receiving his bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Kevin began working for an engineering firm in Traverse City where he was became a Project Manager and Shareholder. In the spring of 2007, Kevin left the engineering industry and founded Three West, LLC, a commercial real estate and consulting firm. Kevin has served on many non-profit boards and including Junior Achievement of Northwest Michigan, Northern Chapter of Michigan Society of Professional Engineers, Bay Area Transportation Authority, the Economics Club of Traverse City, and Munson Medical Center’s Bio-Ethics Resource Committee. Kevin resides in Traverse City with his beautiful wife Stephanie and their six children. Kevin is active at Christ the King Parish in Acme where he serves as a Lector, Extra-ordinary minister of Holy Communion and the Chairman of the annual CSA Campaign. Kevin is currently a candidate in the Permanent Deacon Formation Program for the Diocese of Gaylord. Kevin joined the board in June 2012.
Board Member – Cliff Roberts
Cliff Roberts grew up in Fairfield, CT and moved to Traverse City upon his graduation from the University of Notre Dame in 2011. Cliff received a BA in Economics, was a member of the Men’s Rowing team and participated in a Summer Service Learning Program (SSLP) as well as many other service oriented activities while a student at Notre Dame. He now lives and works in Traverse City in the Land & Legal Department at Muskegon Development Company, a Michigan oil & gas producer. Cliff is a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and joined the board in 2013.
Board Member – Terry Reay
Terry and her husband Pat recently moved back to Traverse City in 2012 from Milwaukee WI after their careers took them to various cities in the Midwest. She and her family are parish members at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Lake Leelanau. Terry is a Registered Radiology Technologist and holds a BS in Marketing and Business Management. Her career focus has been in management, development and education within the healthcare
industry. Terry has a strong background in project coordination and facilitation, excelling in communication. Her experience gives her the ability to understand complicated business models, analyze effectively and communicate within an organization. Her focus is on building customer relations and having an impact on business growth. She is currently employed by Accuray, Inc, a radiation oncology company with headquarters in Madison, WI and Sunnyvale CA.
Terry’s religious ministries have included High School Youth group leader, Sunday School teacher, Eucharistic Minister and home bound visitations. In her spare time she enjoys jogging, mountain biking, downhill skiing, kayaking and paddle boarding. Terry joined the board in 2013.

Greg was born and raised in Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan and his law degree from the Wayne State University Law School. Greg began practicing law in Traverse City in 1997 and is currently a partner in the law firm of Kuhn, Darling, Boyd & Quandt, PLC, where he concentrates his practice in the areas of business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, finance/banking, real estate and general corporate governance and securities matters. He has substantial experience representing corporations, institutions and other entities in all aspects of corporate existence, from creation/acquisition to development and day-to-day operation to expansion, capitalization and sale. Greg’s client base includes financial institutions, banks, manufacturers, medical suppliers, oil and gas producers and food/consumables processors.
Greg and his lovely wife, Danielle, have seven children and are active members of the St. Francis of Assisi Parish. The five oldest Donahue children attend the Grand Traverse Area Catholic Schools, while the youngest two are very active at home. Greg joined the board in 2013.
