I would agree that Jesus lived amongst the common man and appeared as an ordinary man. I don’t think one could argue though that what he accomplished was anything other than extraordinary. God seems to have a way of using ordinary men to accomplish extraordinary tasks…Noah, Abraham, Noah, Moses, David, Solomon… I am guessing that was the motivation Lou Holtz’s was getting at when he made that statement. What is extraordinary to us is simply ordinary to God.
