Thank you ECI Healthcare Employees

A great big “THANK YOU” to all the employees and management at ECI Healthcare Partners that participated in the recent Food Drive benefitting St. Vincent de Paul – Traverse City.  Your generosity helped fill the shelves of the ever depleting food pantry we operate that helps needy individuals and families in our community.

Mail Carrier Food Drive

20thAnnual Mail Carrier Food Drive – Saturday May 12, 2012

Postal carriers unite to help fill local food pantries in Northwest Michigan.

Local members of the NACL, NRCA and U.S. Postal Service will collect food for Northwest Food Coaltion affiliated food pantries serving the five-county region.  Participating mail carriers will be dropping off flyers in mailboxes in the next few weeks with details.Food donations are generally made by leaving bags of non-perishable food near your mailbox on Saturday, May 12, 2012.  If your mail carrier is not participating, you may also drop off donations on Saturday, May 12th at any post office during regular business hours or from 2pm to 6pm at the old Lear Corporation building in Traverse City located at the intersection of South Airport and LaFranier roads.

Volunteers are always welcome.  We need strong and energetic bodies to help load and organize the tons of collected food.  This might be a good event for a sports team or other school/civic organization (Boy Scouts, church youth group, etc.).  Since this is an active event with many moving parts, students, family & friends age 13 and up are encouraged!  For more information contact Val Stone at 231-995-7722 or vals@goodwillnmi.org.  The St. Vincent de Paul contact is Jim Casler at 231-218-7525 or jimcasler@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support.
